Beautifully written, heartfelt and raw。 I have been a huge fan of Logic and reading his story I feel a deeper appreciation for his music。 He takes you on a dark journey detailing his experience with childhood abuse, neglect, violence, poverty and racism。 Logic's determination and ambition for a better life is an over arching theme that inspires the reader to believe things can be better and that we deserve better。 Beautifully written, heartfelt and raw。 I have been a huge fan of Logic and reading his story I feel a deeper appreciation for his music。 He takes you on a dark journey detailing his experience with childhood abuse, neglect, violence, poverty and racism。 Logic's determination and ambition for a better life is an over arching theme that inspires the reader to believe things can be better and that we deserve better。 。。。more

This was just an amazing memoir。 Logic is one of my favourite artists, and reading all about how he grew up and the stuff he had to deal with, was put through, witnessed, was heartbreaking put very inspiring at the same time。 Seeing him be able to go from this poor mixed kid in the hood to one of the most influential hip hop artists of our generation is insane and motivating。 I think this story could be read by anyone, Logic fan or not, and it would have an impact。 I was also able to relate to a This was just an amazing memoir。 Logic is one of my favourite artists, and reading all about how he grew up and the stuff he had to deal with, was put through, witnessed, was heartbreaking put very inspiring at the same time。 Seeing him be able to go from this poor mixed kid in the hood to one of the most influential hip hop artists of our generation is insane and motivating。 I think this story could be read by anyone, Logic fan or not, and it would have an impact。 I was also able to relate to a lot about what he said dealing with his dad growing up, which I enjoyed because I was never able to put it into words myself and he did it for me。 Him talking about Confessions of a Dangerous Mind album (my favourite album) and the hate he got for it even though it's my favourite for all the reasons people hated it for, it was all about mental health。 I love his music and this book was very inspiring and a good read for me。 。。。more

First off I love that it is read by Bobby。 2 hours in I was definitely getting “ Heroin Diaries” by Nikki Sixx vibes。 If you liked this check that one out! All in all this is a good book, definitely made me laugh because it was actually funny。 It was tad too repetitive to me but I expected that especially with Bobby。 I enjoyed all of the movie and tv references。 Growing I was that same kid that had the tv channels memorized。 If you like Logic I would definitely recommend picking this up! This book is a journey。 It’s a staircase that descends into the depths of human depravity。 It shows us the worst humans can do to one another out of spite, or pity, or circumstance, while also maintaining a profound humane aspect to the entire package。 It’s a message of peace, love, positivity and perseverance。 It’s a reminder to self analyze and reflect on who we are as people。 But more than anything, it was a book that showed me that I’m not alone。 It showed me that one of the people I idolize This book is a journey。 It’s a staircase that descends into the depths of human depravity。 It shows us the worst humans can do to one another out of spite, or pity, or circumstance, while also maintaining a profound humane aspect to the entire package。 It’s a message of peace, love, positivity and perseverance。 It’s a reminder to self analyze and reflect on who we are as people。 But more than anything, it was a book that showed me that I’m not alone。 It showed me that one of the people I idolized more than anyone was more like me than I realized。 It showed me that we can control our lives and make something special。 It showed me—Logic showed me—what it means to become someone worth remembering, regardless of circumstance。 Logic helped me escape, and transformed me into the person I am today, and this book, a reflection on his life, ended up being a reflection on mine as well。 It was a look back on all of the things that we’ve overcome together, and all of the promise that awaits us in the future。 。。。more

As a logic fan I know how bobby grew up But wow。 Hearing how he grew up in detail and his mom lashing out on the phone and other situations like that。 While the book is sad in some parts, there are some funny parts as well (Ooooo I’m the ghost of Christianity LOL)。 For non logic fans I would still suggest this book it is one man’s childhood to adult hood with the challenges of a parent with mental illnesses, poverty and other situations that no child should ever grow up in。 (Warning: he does swe As a logic fan I know how bobby grew up But wow。 Hearing how he grew up in detail and his mom lashing out on the phone and other situations like that。 While the book is sad in some parts, there are some funny parts as well (Ooooo I’m the ghost of Christianity LOL)。 For non logic fans I would still suggest this book it is one man’s childhood to adult hood with the challenges of a parent with mental illnesses, poverty and other situations that no child should ever grow up in。 (Warning: he does swear a lot in the book) 。。。more
